Perhaps you are wondering, "What is a HotSync
ID?"
The HotSync ID is a name that you chose for your PDA when you originally
installed your Palm Desktop software on your PC. If you've forgotten what
name you chose, there are several ways for you to find this information.
One way to recover your ID is to load your Palm Desktop software and then
select "Users" from the Tools menu. This will give you a list of the
HotSync user IDs that are served by your installation of the Desktop
software. If you own the only PDA in your household, then there will probably
be only one name listed here (that's your HotSync ID).
If there are multiple PDAs served by your PC, then you can determine which
HotSync ID identifies your PDA by tapping the HotSync icon on the application
launcher screen of your PDA. Your HotSync ID appears in the upper right
corner of the HotSync application screen.
