The 2004 Presidential Debates
There is no other political leader on this planet that wields the economic and
military power of the President of the United States of America. Decisions
that are made in the White House can affect the lives of every resident
of planet Earth. Yet, most of those who suffer the consequences of the actions
of an American president have not had any voice in the selection of the
occupant of that office. That's why it is especially important that every
American who can make a choice in the upcoming election should make an
informed choice, with consideration for those who will not have that
opportunity. Those of you, who may choose, bear a solemn responsibility to
those whose lives may be at stake even though they have no voice.
As an aid to those who have the privilege and responsibility of
participating in the selection process, I am presenting the official
transcripts of The
Commission on Presidential Debates, formatted for your eReader. This
version includes all three presidential debates (30 Sep 2004, 08 Oct 2004,
13 Oct 2004)) and the vice-presidential debate (05 Oct 2004).
