I developed my advanced financial calculator as a replacement for my own
HP-12C. I did this because I could not find another calculator for the Palm
platform that performed all of the functions that I regularly use on my
12C. Now I use my Palm m505 as my regular financial calculator and leave my
HP-12C in the briefcase. I think that you'll agree that this is the best
financial calculator available for your Palm-powered PDA.
It's designed to fill the needs of any student in finance or
accounting. Like my basic financial calculator,
it can calculate
the number of payments in a loan or ordinary annuity,
interest rates of loans and rates of return on investments,
payment amounts for loans and annuities,
present and future values of cash payments and annuities.
This calculator has a payment mode key to handle both ordinary annuities
and annuities due.
And it does discounted cash flow analysis (net present
value and internal rate of return) of up to 31 cash flows (one initial and 30
subsequent cash flows).
It has additional editing functions (CHange Sign and BackSpace) and I've
even included basic statistical functions (sum of sample, sample mean, and
standard deviation of sample or population). And the buttons are big, so
it's tolerant of any minor misalignment of the tap screen.
This program has been fully tested to perform
all of the most common financial calculations. All results were compared to
an HP-12C to assure accuracy of the calculator.
It's an upgrade of my basic financial
calculator, so it's proven to handle all of the basic arithmetic operations
(addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) and has a 10-value
internal stack to handle complex nested calculations. And, unlike the
calculator software that came with your PDA, it also handles exponents.
And don't worry about that credit card balance, because the price
is only $6.95. That's the total price. There's no charge for shipping
and no charge for handling because you can download
it now.
This calculator requires Palm OS v3.0 or better. That means that it will
work with just about any Palm-powered PDA made after March of 1998 (that's a
Palm III, or any Palm device that came after the Palm III).

your copy. The installation file is a zip file for Windows
(sorry, I don't have a stuffit file for the Mac folks, yet). You'll need
WinZip or a similar program to install the calculator on your handheld. You
can get WinZip here.
